BETHEL WOODS AMPHITHEATER AND MUSEUM

The Bethel Woods Museum allows you to step back into the 60s and experience the magic of Woodstock in 1969. Take an afternoon to walk through the museum and learn about the music, the passion, the festival and the love of Woodstock in 1969. Enjoy a light lunch at the Bethel Woods Cafe and parooze through the museum shop for memorabilia.

LAKE SUPERIOR BEACH AND KAYAKING

Lake Superior Beach and Kayaking is part of Lake Superior State Park that surrounds 1409 acres; including Lake Superior and Chestnut Ridge Pond. Lake Superior Beach includes an area to enjoy a refreshing swim, build a sand castle on the sand beach, or have a picnic in their picnic area with the whole family! Looking to do a little more? WHITE LAKE BOAT AND PONTOON RENTALS

Enjoy a day relaxing on the gentle waves of White Lake. Known for it’s history, restaurants and lake fun it is a must experience during your trip. Perfect for swimming, boating, fishing and lakeside fun, this 5-mile shore lake is a local favorite when it comes to enjoying the summer in Bethel.

 

Check out one of the numerous boat rental business and take a boat out for the day. Then end your day with an ice cream on your way back.

DELAWARE RIVER RAFTING AND CANOEING

Whether a beginner or experienced, the Delaware river has an adventure for everyone! They offer rafting, canoeinging, kayaking and tubing. For families, groups or the wanderer just looking to have a day of self care. The crystal clear water and rapids of the Delaware take you on an adventure around breathtaking cliffs, beneath bridges and into spectacular views you’ve never seen. When the rapids are slow and the water is calm, allow yourself to pull off and enjoy a relaxing lunch along your trip. 

 

Most Delaware River trips are unguided but you are provided what you need to make it on your own. With this in mind make sure you are prepared with maps, life jackets, water, and all you will need.

LOCAL FARMERS AND ANTIQUE MARKETS

Immerse yourself into the local atmosphere and enjoy a morning at one of the many local Farmers or Antique Markets. The closest market takes place in White Lake on Saturday 11am to 2 pm, where you can find anything from organic produce to handcrafted jewelry. Allow yourself the experience of local organic body butters, tea blends, lemonade, earrings and much more!

Then step into lunch or brunch at one of the many local restaurants and eateries in the area!

HIKING AND BIKING IN TOWN OF BETHEL AND SULLIVAN COUNTY

There are numerous hiking and biking trails throughout Sullivan County. From our local hiking trails in Smallwood, to the historic trails around White Lake to learn our history, to trails in Rock Hill that end at a beautiful waterfall. Whatever your preference of hiking, there is a trail for everyone. 

Take advantage of all the nature and peace our home has to offer by experiencing atleast one of the many trails throughout the county. You’re bound to find one that makes you feel grounded and like you’re home.
